About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a passion for finding solutions to difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, and work collaboratively with the service department and other technicians to address guest concerns and deliver quality results. The position is at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in College Station, Texas.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
• Desire for long-term career development.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to work on vehicles lifted above head and in tight spaces as required for repairs.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
• Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
