The Automotive Technician will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with an emphasis working on diesel vehicles and familiarity with buses. The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and fixing vehicle issues, completing routine maintenance services and ensuring that all repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1-5 years of automotive mechanic job experience.
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
  • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
  • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.
  • Disassemble and reassemble parts.
  • Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective.
  • Perform road test upon completion of repairs.
