About The Position

Capital Ford Lincoln in Winnipeg is looking for an Automotive Electrical Specialist to join our growing team. This role is for a technician who excels at advanced electrical diagnostics, enjoys solving complex wiring diagrams, identifying parasitic draws, and working with advanced vehicle electronics and EV architecture. The position offers an opportunity to move beyond routine maintenance and focus on high-level technical challenges in a modern facility.

Requirements

Red Seal Journeyman Technician certification (or equivalent diagnostic experience)
Advanced mastery of automotive electrical, electronic, and multiplex systems, with the ability to read and interpret complex wiring schematics
Strong familiarity with Ford/Lincoln diagnostic platforms is an asset, but expert diagnostic techs from other brands are encouraged to apply
Valid driver’s license
Apprentices with a strong electrical aptitude and a passion for diagnostics are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform complex electrical and mechanical engine diagnostics to isolate and repair powertrain, communication, and electronic failures using advanced factory diagnostic tools
Diagnose, repair, and maintain Ford/Lincoln vehicles along with all makes and models, focusing on engine performance, drivability issues, electrical systems, and module programming
Utilize scopes, scanners, and specialized test equipment to pinpoint root causes in fuel injection, ignition, mechanical engine performance, emissions, and sensor networks
Document diagnostic pathways, root cause findings, and recommended repair procedures
Ensure all repairs strictly align with Ford OEM and safety standards
