About The Position
Laura Chevy Buick GMC is seeking Ford, Chrysler, and/or Chevy-GM Automotive Technicians to join its growing Service Team. The role involves diagnosing vehicle concerns, recommending repairs, completing repair work, and verifying vehicle performance and repair quality. Technicians work in a high-volume service center with a steady flow of work and opportunities to maximize hours and earnings. The company offers industry-leading pay, ongoing in-house training, and opportunities for long-term career growth. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends. Compensation is based on a technician flat rate with a guaranteed amount. The job includes frequent physical tasks such as walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting, and requires lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of service technician experience.
- Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Maintain working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair.
- Perform diagnostic procedures to identify vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Inspect vehicles in accordance with state emissions and safety requirements.
- Complete repairs and perform test drives to verify vehicle performance and repair quality.
- Operate automotive repair tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in ongoing in-house training and skill development.
- Perform frequent physical tasks, including walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting; lift and carry at least 50 pounds as required.
- Maintain accurate, legible documentation for customer records and internal use.
- Clean and maintain work areas to support a safe, organized, and efficient environment.
- Comply with company HR trainings and policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
