About The Position

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) is seeking a passionate and driven Automotive Technical Coordinator to join their Product Quality & Service Support (PQSS) team. This is a 24-month contract opportunity reporting to the Manager of Advanced Technologies Quality. The role involves supporting service readiness for new and existing Toyota/Lexus products across Canadian dealers and internal corporate groups. The coordinator will also provide support for the scan tool program and ensure digital resources and web service functions are ready for dealerships and corporate users.

Requirements

  • Post-Graduate Education in accredited automotive technical, business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Service Tools & Equipment, preferably in the automotive industry or similar environment
  • Experience processing invoice requests and billing vendors is mandatory
  • Sound technical/practical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic software
  • Strong understanding of dealership service operations
  • Strong diagnostic procedure & problem-solving ability
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Sound technical or practical knowledge of HTML/XML/CSS is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various groups within TMNA (e.g. diagnostics, Special Service Tools (SST), technical information) to monitor status of ongoing projects and ensure Canadian Dealer requirements are met.
  • Support with the various working groups with regards to SST, diagnostic software & hardware, and Service Information to communicate requirements in the Canadian market.
  • Coordinate the translation of Service Information using the Translation Services to realize cost savings.
  • Support & maintain static content HTMLs on TIS for all TIS pages.
  • Ensure diagnostic software and corresponding support material is up to date, tools and equipment page reflects all new and upcoming tools, and ad-hoc requests from within TCI.
  • Support & maintain content on TIS (service information hub) to maintain diagnostic software and related information, Dealer Communications, and provide tools and equipment updates as requested.
  • Review and track new model service information readiness, ensuring English and French service information are on time and available prior to model launch.
  • Support and assist the Dealer Tool & Equipment program to improve dealership overall service readiness capability for new and previous Toyota/Lexus products by ensuring that the dealerships are effectively and properly equipped.
  • Monitor and respond to Toyota and Lexus Tools & Equipment, PQSS general email inbox on all incoming inquiries, direct and execute necessary requested task.
  • Process vendor invoicing request and create TCI dealer billing files as needed for Tools & Equipment in an accurate manner, while maintaining tracking file with status updates.
  • Support TCI internal and external TCI Dealer tools rental program.
  • Provide support to dealers and corporate users with all issues related to diagnostic software.
  • Raise newly identified concerns to the TMNA & TCI internal members, IT support or Denso group, to resolve issues for Canadian market.
  • Provide support to TCI dealers with regards to Toyota and Lexus Diagnostic Scan tool.
  • Create escalated, higher tier, support tickets on behalf of TCI dealers for software and hardware resolution plans, and closely monitor its status and resolution completion.
  • Fulfill Dealer request on ordering hardware components related to diagnostic equipment, and liaison between TCI dealers and supporting vendor.
  • Process vendor invoices and bill TCI Dealers for all diagnostic hardware related items in an accurate manner, while maintaining tracking file with status updates.
  • Analyze and coordinate preparations on new model service readiness support requirements.
  • Update Tools & Equipment accounting balance tracking sheet, monitor spending POs to ensure spendings and recovery charges are recorded.
  • Report to management as required.
  • Update monthly Dangerous Goods and Nuisance Parts Reports for Part Recovery Management System.
  • Provide timely assistance to help Dealer inquiries with SSTs, repair information, diagnostic software & hardware, TIS service information website content and functions.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with TMNA, TMC, suppliers and other TCI departments.
  • Work on Special Projects when need arises and other duties as assigned.
