About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role In this role you will lead 3M’s technical engagement, collaboration and innovation with a large, global automotive OEM and their supplier ecosystem. You will translate customer technical needs into potential 3M solutions and connect 3M technologies to customer needs. As an Automotive Strategic Account Technical Lead you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
10+ years of experience in Application Engineering with electrification exposure and application of technologies in a private, public, government or military environment
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Master’s degree
10 years of automotive industry experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Skills include customer presentation, business acumen, relationship building and insights gathering

Responsibilities

Building technical relationships across all levels of the customer organization and aligning 3M internal process with customer technology adoption and commercialization process
Leads front-end innovation processes with account and manages strategic account’s prioritized collaboration projects
Developing strategic account’s customer needs roadmap and translating customer needs into potential 3M solutions
Building and managing new product pipeline for assigned account(s), champions and drives New Product Introduction activities
Delivering the technical components of product specification for new programs
Collaborating internally with Vertical, Product Platform, and Corporate Research Laboratory teams on technology and capability development
Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
