Midas Auto Service Experts – Fremont, CA is seeking an experienced, results-driven Automotive Store Manager to lead the daily operations of their high-volume, full-service automotive repair facility. The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the business, including operations, financial performance, employee development, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Automotive Store Manager or Automotive Service Manager experience
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance
  • Proven experience managing Service Advisors and Automotive Technicians
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and sales abilities
  • Experience managing sales, labor, inventory, and profitability
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems, estimating software, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications
  • College coursework or degree in Business Management or Automotive Technology
  • Experience with shop management software such as Mitchell 1, RO Writer, Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, or similar
  • Experience with Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs)

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and mentor Service Advisors and Automotive Technicians.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
  • Conduct employee evaluations, scheduling, payroll, and performance management.
  • Lead by example and promote professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to customer concerns and providing honest repair recommendations.
  • Prepare and explain repair estimates with confidence and transparency.
  • Follow up with customers regarding repair status, completion times, and satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee technician inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
  • Ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA/EPA-compliant facility.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed.
  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Increase Average Repair Order (ARO), car count, and gross profit.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Monitor labor costs, expenses, and overall store profitability.
  • Analyze financial reports and P&L statements to improve business performance.
  • Submit daily sales and operational reports.
