About The Position

We’re looking for State Inspectors with professional automotive repair experience to join us at Carvana. As a State Inspector, you’ll be expected to perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct quality inspections on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the post-production process. Requirements

Minimum 6 months professional experience for Entry-Level Auto Technician.
Minimum 1 year professional experience for Brake and Tire Technician.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience for Mid-Level (Mechanical Repair / Build / General) Technician.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience for Experienced Technician.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
Ability to sometimes be exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct quality inspections on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the post-production process.
Perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct the initial inspection on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the reconditioning process.
Perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires.
Perform light to medium automotive repairs and minimal diagnostics on our vehicles.
Perform extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as advanced vehicle diagnostics on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles.
Perform LOF (Lube, Oil, and Filter) tasks.
Perform detailing.
Perform PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) tasks.
