About The Position

We’re looking for State Inspectors with professional automotive repair experience to join us at Carvana. As a State Inspector, you’ll be expected to perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct quality inspections on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the post-production process. Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months professional experience for Entry-Level Auto Technician.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience for Brake and Tire Technician.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience for Mid-Level (Mechanical Repair / Build / General) Technician.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience for Experienced Technician.
  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
  • Ability to sometimes be exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Some positions may be subject to an Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
  • Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct quality inspections on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the post-production process.
  • Perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct the initial inspection on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the reconditioning process.
  • Perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires.
  • Perform light to medium automotive repairs and minimal diagnostics on our vehicles.
  • Perform extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as advanced vehicle diagnostics on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Perform LOF (Lube, Oil, and Filter) tasks.
  • Perform detailing.
  • Perform PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) tasks.
