Automotive Shop Manager (Grow with Us)
About The Position
We’re a family-owned automotive repair shop in the Martin County area looking for an experienced Service Manager who knows how to lead a team, lead by example, and take ownership of the shop’s performance. We’re looking for someone who understands the business, knows how to develop his team, and is comfortable taking ownership of KPIs and company goals. Most importantly, we want a leader who knows how to bring out the best in people through coaching, encouragement, recognition, and positive reinforcement. Our culture is built around supporting our people and celebrating success. We believe great results come from setting clear expectations, giving people the tools and support they need to succeed, and recognizing them when they do. This is a busy shop with a strong team and a lot of opportunity. We need a leader who takes pride in their people, their customers, and their numbers.
Requirements
- Experience successfully managing an automotive repair shop or service team
- Know how to lead technicians and service advisors and earn the respect of your team
- Understand KPIs and know how to use the numbers to improve shop performance
- Lead by example and bring positive energy to your team
- Enjoy coaching people and recognizing great work
- Know how to motivate a team while keeping everyone focused on shared goals
- Are organized, decisive, and comfortable taking ownership
- Stay calm and solutions-focused when the shop gets busy
- Care about creating a great experience for both employees and customers
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the shop and set the example for the team
- Coach, develop, and support a team of technicians and service advisors
- Take ownership of KPIs, sales, profitability, productivity, and company goals
- Manage workflow, car count, and overall shop performance
- Set clear expectations and help the team achieve them
- Recognize great performance and celebrate team wins
- Create a positive environment where employees feel supported and have opportunities to grow
- Handle customer concerns professionally and build long-term relationships
- Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities and keep the shop moving forward
