Automotive Services Technology Faculty
About The Position
Anoka Technical College is seeking an unlimited, full-time Auto Mechanic faculty member who is skilled in using active and experiential learning strategies; has enthusiasm for teaching and learning; has a strong commitment to creating a student-centered environment and the ability to differentiate instruction across multiple levels and learning styles. Instruct students in a range of subjects across the assigned curriculum. Teach courses in day, evening, and alternate schedule formats utilizing traditional and alternative delivery methods and virtual learning environments. Assess student academic achievement at classroom, department, and college levels. Participate in departmental and college communities through a variety of activities (curriculum development, service on committees, student life activities, department initiatives, grant initiatives, etc.).
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
- Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
