About The Position

Briggs Auto Group is seeking to add three technicians to their service team: one experienced Heavy-Line Mechanic and two Entry-Level Lube Technicians. Requirements

  • Previous professional automotive repair experience (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Experience completing heavy-line or major mechanical repairs (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Ability to flag hours consistently while maintaining quality (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Personal tools appropriate for the position (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in the automotive industry (for Lube Technicians)
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment (for Lube Technicians)
  • Willingness to learn, train, and accept coaching (for Lube Technicians)

Nice To Haves

  • ASE or manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required (for Heavy-Line Mechanic)
  • Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required (for Lube Technicians)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and drivability concerns accurately
  • Perform engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical repairs
  • Complete major component removal, repair, and replacement
  • Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair information
  • Perform thorough inspections and identify needed repairs
  • Complete repairs correctly and efficiently
  • Document all findings, recommendations, and completed work
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and management
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and safe work area
  • Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures
  • Perform oil and filter changes
  • Rotate and balance tires
  • Check and adjust fluid levels
  • Inspect tires, brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and other maintenance items
  • Complete multipoint vehicle inspections
  • Replace filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other maintenance components
  • Properly document completed services and recommended repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all dealership safety and service procedures
  • Work with experienced technicians and managers to expand technical skills
