About The Position

Fountain Tire London (416 First St) is looking for a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team! This role involves diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles, performing scheduled maintenance, and advising customers on vehicle condition and future repair needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining mechanical service equipment, operating vehicles safely, and supporting customer relationships.

Requirements

Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade
10+ years of automotive experience
Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis

Responsibilities

Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
Completing approved service on customer vehicles
Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
