About The Position

Baker Chevrolet of Allegan is seeking to hire 1 Automotive Service Technician. This position offers top pay for qualified individuals and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays to allow for a work/life balance. Baker Chevrolet is the premier General Motors Service department in Allegan, with aligned Leadership, Service Advisors, and Parts Department to ensure efficiency and success. A steady flow of customer pay and internal work helps maintain hours per week and hours per RO. Requirements

• Strong automotive background
• Strong Teamwork values
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check upon hiring
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications are ideal but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with the dealership.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components & systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors so that customers can be informed of any additional services needed.
• Providing an estimate of time needed for current repair or any additional repairs needed.
• Executing repairs under warranty as outlined in manufacturers’ specifications and requirements.
