About The Position

Kal Tire is seeking a 310S Automotive Service Technician to perform a wide range of services, from routine maintenance to complex repairs on compact cars, with proficiency in diesel systems, domestic vehicles, and light-duty fleets. This role involves working on various vehicle brands, including engine repairs and electrical diagnostics. This is a full-time, permanent position based at their Light Duty Fleet Centre in Scarborough, supporting business-to-business operations. The role offers a structured work schedule, hands-on mechanical tasks in a safe and well-equipped environment, the opportunity to mentor apprentices, and a clear path to becoming a Lead Technician. Requirements

• Hold a valid 310S Automotive Service Technician license.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs across a wide range of vehicles.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
