About The Position

As a Service Technician at Tire Discounters, you’ll perform a range of automotive services, including tire installation and maintenance, steering and suspension work, alignments, brake service, engine diagnostics, drivability work, and preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance. The role is key to the success of daily operations at your location. The position offers annual pay of $50,000–$175,000+, consisting of an hourly rate and commission. Technicians receive a weekly hourly rate, commission on labor, and variable overtime. Tire Discounters describes career paths from Service Technician to Service Manager to General Manager, and offers master-certified trainers, paid hands-on learning, and a company tool program.

Requirements

At least 2 years of automotive repair experience.
Own tools; a tool purchase program is available.
Ability to operate automotive vehicle lifts, shop tools, and equipment.
Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Availability to work Saturdays.
Comfort with occasional exposure to mechanical hazards and outdoor conditions.
Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
Diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate, timely, and quality vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to confirm functionality and overall safety.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
Foster a collaborative team environment and assist as needed.
