Requirements
- Experience as a Service Technician, Diesel Technician, Transmission Technician, or similar automotive role preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical demands of an automotive service environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles according to GM and dealership standards.
- Perform inspections and identify additional maintenance or safety concerns.
- Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations.
- Communicate repair needs, timelines, and updates with service advisors.
- Road test vehicles to verify concerns and completed repairs.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to secure needed parts.
- Utilize TruVideo to document inspections and explain repair recommendations.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Maintain customer vehicle cleanliness and care throughout the repair process.
- Stay current with manufacturer training, technical bulletins, and evolving technology.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
- Support team success through collaboration and additional duties as needed.
