About The Position
This is a general application for Service Technician openings across Swickard's Thousand Oaks area dealerships. Qualified candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise. Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars, believing that the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. They operate multiple dealerships across the Thousand Oaks area, representing Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Land Rover, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Acura, and Honda. They are proactively building technician pipelines so that when an opening arises, they are ready to move.
Requirements
- 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership
- Any brand background considered -- luxury, import, and domestic experience all valued across our portfolio
- Strong diagnostic ability and a low comeback rate
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications a strong plus
- OEM factory certifications highly valued
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles across a range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using OEM diagnostic platforms and manufacturer procedures
- Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings to service advisors to support guest authorization
- Execute repairs to factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts
- Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
- Stay current on technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
