About The Position

Acura of Thousand Oaks is seeking an experienced, flat-rate Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to quality. This role involves diagnosing and repairing Acura vehicles across various systems, performing multi-point inspections, and ensuring repairs are completed to factory specifications. The position is at a high-volume, respected luxury import dealership in Southern California, offering a consistent workflow and a supportive environment for skilled technicians. Requirements

• 2+ years of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership
• Import brand experience preferred -- Acura and Honda backgrounds are a strong advantage; Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, and other import platforms are welcome
• Strong diagnostic foundation -- able to work through multi-system problems accurately and efficiently
• Physically capable of performing the demands of the role throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Acura vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and beyond -- using Acura diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures.
• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans, communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization.
• Execute repairs to Acura factory specifications with speed, accuracy, and zero shortcuts.
• Complete repair orders accurately, documenting all work performed and parts used with precision.
• Stay current on Acura technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift.
• Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline.
