Requirements

  • 1+ year of flat-rate technician experience in a franchised dealership -- required
  • Minimum 1 ASE certification required
  • Solid foundation in automotive diagnosis and repair -- able to work efficiently and accurately without constant supervision
  • Comfortable with Toyota Techstream or equivalent diagnostic platforms -- or quick to learn them
  • Low comeback rate and a personal standard for quality that doesn't require managing
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the role -- lifting, bending, and standing throughout the shift
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • A craftsmanship mindset -- you take pride in every repair that leaves your bay

Nice To Haves

  • additional ASE certifications a strong plus
  • Toyota brand experience strongly preferred
  • technicians with Honda, Subaru, Nissan, or other import brand backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis and repair on Toyota vehicles across a full range of systems -- engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, suspension, and beyond -- using Toyota diagnostic platforms and OEM procedures
  • Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate findings clearly to service advisors to support accurate guest recommendations
  • Stay current on Toyota technical service bulletins, software updates, and manufacturer repair procedures
  • Perform test drives to validate diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle return
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout every shift
  • Contribute to a shop culture where quality, accountability, and craftsmanship are the baseline
