About The Position

The Faculty of Trades and Technology is currently seeking a full time regular Automotive Service Technician instructor to provide delivery of Foundation and Apprenticeship training. This instructor will be part of a team of faculty that work independently with students in a classroom environment as well as manage projects and instruction in a fully functional Automotive shop. There is an expectation of familiarizing yourself with established curriculum and the online training management system (Moodle), as well as classroom/exam prep and marking outside student contact hours.

Requirements

  • A BC Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal (IP RSE), or an Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification with IP RSE from another jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of five years’ diverse experience as an automotive repair journeyperson.
  • The knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous instructional experience is an asset.
