About The Position

We are seeking a Service Manager for our client near Auburn, MA. Sales are on the rise and our client needs a proven leader to drive growth. You will be joining a dealership with an energetic service advisor team, skilled technicians, a motivated executive team with resources to help you succeed, and a fantastic community reputation. Your leadership will directly influence customer satisfaction, team morale, growth of our service business and overall dealership.

Requirements

  • Previous service manager experience is REQUIRED for this position.
  • Large volume point looking for experienced Service Manager.
  • Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of managing technicians and service advisors, demonstrate an ability to run an efficient and productive service department, managing a reconditioning department, and show through their work history an ability to generate sales with high customer satisfaction.
  • We are looking for someone who works hard, communicates clearly and is interested in a real career with long term potential, not just a job.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the US.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Experience with Tekion is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversell daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Hire, train, develop and motivate the service department staff and monitor their performance.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for the service department and keep dealership management informed of variances.
  • Ensure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction (CSI) and financial goals.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are met.
  • Ensure that common courtesy is shown to all customers by every service department employee to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule training, as necessary, to properly repair and service vehicles.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
