A rapidly growing, high-volume automotive repair shop in Gretna, NE is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead daily operations and build a high-performing team. Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive service management or leadership experience.
  • Strong background in automotive service sales and customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing shop financial performance and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with shop management software (Tekmetric experience is a plus).
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Service Consultant Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of a high-volume automotive repair shop.
  • Manage and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Monitor shop workflow to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Drive sales while maintaining exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Review repair estimates and ensure recommendations are presented professionally and accurately.
  • Maintain profitability through effective labor management, parts purchasing, and operational oversight.
  • Track key performance indicators including sales, ARO, gross profit, labor margins, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Handle customer concerns and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met on every repair.
  • Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and overall facility operations.
  • Prepare operational reports and communicate performance results with ownership.
  • Foster a culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and integrity.
