Automotive Service Dispatcher

Apple Autos is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive Service Dispatcher for our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating service appointments, managing technician schedules and productivity, and ensuring the smooth flow of automotive services. Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar automotive service dispatch role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and terminology.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and customer-focused work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assign work to technicians according to their skill level, and to “time promised.”
- Follow-up work in process, inform service advisors ahead of time, if time promised cannot be kept.
- Maintain shop capacity control and advise service advisors of capacity status throughout the day.
- Prohibit personnel from using equipment, materials, or processes for which they have not received appropriate training.
- Requisition installation of engineering controls, and purchase of protective equipment before using equipment, materials, or processes for which appropriate controls and equipment have not been established.
- Assign work to technicians.
- Follow up on work progress.
- Monitor shop capacity and provide information to service advisors.
- Monitor technician efficiency and provide assistance for improvement.
- Keep workshop technical information updated.
- Maintain information library.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop, technicians’ facilities, and service parking lot.
