Automotive Service Director
About The Position
Krause Auto Group, a family-owned and operated business for over 30 years, is seeking a high-impact Automotive Service Director to lead operations at one of their newest high-volume import dealerships, Krause Family Hyundai, in the Northern Atlanta area. This role offers a rare opportunity to manage a busy, well-established shop with a strong team and elevate its performance. The position is described as more than a management role, but a leadership opportunity with significant influence, allowing the individual to refine processes, elevate performance, and shape the future of the department within a high-performing, high-volume service department supported by experienced advisors and efficient technicians.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in an import dealership service department
- Strong track record of driving profitability, efficiency, and CSI
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Experience managing high-volume service operations
- Strong organizational and operational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
- A passion for developing people, delivering exceptional service, and building something meaningful
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screening

Responsibilities
- Lead all fixed operations within the service department—from write-up to delivery
- Drive revenue, efficiency, and profitability through strong operational leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a skilled team of technicians and service advisors
- Maintain and elevate Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance
- Optimize workflow, processes, and shop productivity in a high-volume environment
- Partner with Parts and Sales to create a seamless customer experience
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent to build a best-in-class team
- Oversee budgets, expense control, and departmental financial performance
- Leverage tools like CDK Global and Xtime to improve efficiency and customer experience
- Collaborate with executive leadership and OEM partners to drive innovation and growth
