About The Position

The Dismantler is responsible for safely and efficiently removing high-value automotive parts and usable core parts from vehicles. The role also involves staging parts for pickup, assisting with customer orders, maintaining assigned work areas, and meeting productivity guidelines. The employee may operate a forklift, load trucks, and use a handheld or similar device to enter information and generate reports. The position does not supervise employees and may include other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Must complete required training.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to follow clear directions and standard procedures to solve routine, repetitive problems with little decision-making.
• Ability to use hand and electric tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles and efficiently remove hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, airbags, and other parts while following safety practices.
• Stage high-value cores and parts for vendor or customer pickups.
• Respond to customer countersales orders by receiving the order, pulling the product, and bringing it to the sales counter.
• Operate a forklift and load trucks when required.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in assigned work areas.
• Meet productivity guidelines.
• Use a handheld or similar device to enter information and generate reports when required.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
