About The Position

Kendall Ford of Bozeman is looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team. This role involves driving results, developing people, and helping lead one of the region’s premier Ford dealerships. The dealership is part of the Kendall Auto Group, a family-owned company serving customers since 1963. Located in Bozeman, MT, it offers a fast-paced, high-volume environment combined with a desirable lifestyle and outdoor access. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, high-energy leader with proven automotive management experience to oversee and grow New and Used Vehicle sales operations. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate a team and drive performance in a competitive market.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales management experience required
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build opportunities for dealership growth and customer satisfaction
  • Experience with inventory management and sales strategy
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Candidates must be willing to work weekend and evening shifts
  • Capacity to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models
  • Good driving record and valid driver license

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, mentor, and develop the New & Used Vehicle sales teams
  • Drive department growth and exceed monthly and annual sales objectives
  • Manage inventory, pricing strategy, and merchandising vehicles
  • Work closely with sales staff to improve closing ratios and customer satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain clear performance standards and accountability
  • Support customer retention and long-term relationship development
  • Oversee operations for the UVI department
  • Partner with dealership leadership to improve profitability and operational efficiency
