Swickard Palo Alto II, LLC d/b/a Mercedes-Benz of Palo AltoPalo Alto, CA
$80,000 - $150,000Hybrid

About The Position

Palo Alto, CA | Mercedes-Benz | Premium luxury brand | Hospitality | F&I | Sales Management | Veterans encouraged to apply | $80,000 - $150,000+ OTE Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time. At Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto, we serve one of the most sophisticated luxury markets in the country. Our guests are discerning, financially astute, and loyal to people who deliver a premium experience with integrity. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of the sales floor and the finance office -- and the person who fills it will have significant influence over both the guest experience and the store's performance. This is a dual-function position for a proven automotive professional who is equally at home desking a deal on the floor and closing it in the finance office. You'll support sales management responsibilities -- desking deals, coaching consultants, managing floor coverage -- while also handling F&I for your own transactions and assisting with F&I as needed. The scope varies day to day, and the right candidate is comfortable moving between both functions with confidence and composure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of automotive experience spanning both sales management and F&I -- proven performance in both functions required
  • Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand experience strongly preferred -- comfort with high-net-worth clientele and a polished, professional presence
  • Demonstrated F&I performance metrics -- PVR, VSC penetration, GAP penetration, and compliance record
  • Confident at the desk -- able to work deals quickly and accurately without sacrificing the guest relationship
  • Deep knowledge of menu selling, deal structure, and compliance standards (Reg Z, TILA, FCRA)
  • Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
  • Active state F&I license, or the ability to obtain one prior to start
  • A hospitality mindset -- you lead every guest interaction with integrity, transparency, and genuine care

Responsibilities

  • Desk deals with accuracy, urgency, and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the store
  • Support and coach sales consultants on the floor -- helping them navigate guest conversations, close deals, and deliver a hospitality-first experience
  • Guide guests through financing, leasing, and F&I product options with transparency and professionalism
  • Present and sell F&I products -- including VSC, GAP, and maintenance -- through a disciplined menu-based process
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and manufacturer regulations on every deal
  • Maintain strong lender relationships and structure deals accurately to support clean, timely funding
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure seamless deal flow and a consistent guest experience from first contact through delivery
  • Maintain rigorous CRM and DMS discipline -- deal documentation, follow-up records, and compliance paperwork completed accurately on every transaction

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Paid Mercedes-Benz manufacturer and F&I product training
  • Career growth -- strong performers in hybrid roles at Swickard grow into GSM, F&I Director, and multi-store leadership positions
  • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
