About The Position

A well-established, family-owned and operated automotive dealership in Mesa, Arizona is conducting a confidential search for an experienced, highly driven Automotive Sales Director to lead and take ownership of dealership sales operations. We are looking for a hands-on operator and proven automotive leader who understands every moving piece of a successful sales department — from the showroom and internet department to desking deals, CRM accountability, inventory, gross and overall performance. We want a DOER. Someone who knows the numbers, understands today's digital automotive customer, develops people, creates accountability and knows how to drive results.

Requirements

Automotive dealership management experience required
Proven experience leading a high-performing sales operation
Internet-savvy with a strong understanding of digital automotive retail
Strong knowledge of CRM systems, internet leads and lead-management processes
Ability to oversee both showroom and internet sales operations
Strong desking, deal-structuring and gross-management skills
Ability to manage KPIs, closing ratios, lead response, appointments and overall production
Proven ability to recruit, train, coach and develop sales professionals
Strong leadership and accountability skills
Customer-focused with an understanding of CSI and reputation management
Competitive, energetic and results-driven
Hands-on leader who leads from the front

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day dealership sales operations
Oversee new and pre-owned vehicle sales performance
Lead and develop the sales and internet teams
Drive internet lead performance, follow-up and appointment conversion
Monitor CRM activity and ensure every opportunity is worked
Desk and structure deals as needed
Establish sales goals and hold the team accountable
Track KPIs, closing ratios, gross, appointments, show rates and production
Recruit, train and retain high-performing sales professionals
Conduct sales meetings, coaching and ongoing development
Work closely with dealership leadership to maximize profitability
Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and overall performance
