About The Position

The Automotive Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving vehicle sales and delivering exceptional customer service within a dealership environment. This position is responsible for guiding customers through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to final purchase, ensuring a seamless and positive buying experience. The consultant will leverage in-depth knowledge of automotive products, financing options, and market trends to match customers with vehicles that meet their needs and preferences. Success in this role directly contributes to the dealership's revenue growth and reputation for customer satisfaction. Additionally, the consultant will maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a related customer-facing sales role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with automotive financing and leasing processes.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and dealership management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their vehicle needs and preferences, providing expert advice on available models and features.
  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives to showcase product benefits and performance.
  • Negotiate sales terms and pricing while ensuring compliance with dealership policies and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and process sales contracts, financing paperwork, and trade-in documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current promotions, incentives, and financing options to inform and assist customers.
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to meet or exceed monthly sales targets and dealership goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with automotive industry trends and product updates.
