About The Position

Shottenkirk Chevrolet of Quincy is seeking motivated Automotive Sales Consultants / Automotive Sales Associates to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to build a career with Chevrolet, a brand known for its diverse lineup of trucks, SUVs, performance vehicles, and electric vehicles. The company is looking for energetic, customer-focused individuals who thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and enjoy building customer relationships. Experience in automotive sales, retail sales, hospitality, restaurants, customer service, call centers, wireless sales, or commission-based sales is encouraged, though not required. The dealership provides paid training, leadership support, high showroom traffic, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
  • Must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive sales experience preferred but not required
  • Chevrolet, GM, or automotive sales experience is a plus but not required
  • Experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality, restaurants, call centers, wireless sales, or commission sales is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships and create customers for life
  • Assist customers in selecting the right new or used vehicle based on their needs and budget
  • Deliver professional vehicle presentations, walkarounds, and test drives
  • Become knowledgeable on Chevrolet cars, trucks, SUVs, EVs, trim levels, financing options, lease programs, towing capabilities, safety features, and automotive technology
  • Educate customers on Chevrolet's award-winning lineup, including Silverado, Colorado, Tahoe, Suburban, Traverse, Equinox, Blazer, Trailblazer, and EV models
  • Follow up with customers to generate repeat and referral business
  • Learn and apply proven automotive sales processes and objection-handling techniques
  • Maintain strong communication with sales managers and dealership leadership
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and customer satisfaction targets
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude every day
