About The Position

The Vehicle Reconditioning Arbitrator plays a critical role in maintaining fleet quality standards and ensuring consistent, fair decision-making related to vehicle damage assessments and reconditioning costs. In this field-based role, you will serve as the subject matter expert in resolving disputes between branches, customers, and third-party vendors while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. You will conduct hands-on evaluations across multiple locations, driving consistency and operational excellence.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in automotive damage assessment, claims adjustment, or vehicle reconditioning.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Proficient in computer navigation, including Microsoft Office Applications.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively.
Professional communication skills.
Success-oriented and willing to take on multiple tasks.
Flexible and willing to travel domestically up to 65%.

Responsibilities

Support the resolution of disputes related to vehicle damage assessments and reconditioning costs across multiple markets.
Manage arbitration cases by applying company policies and industry standards to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.
Liaise with rental branches, reconditioning facilities, and third-party vendors to resolve escalated and complex cases.
Maintain quality standards through scheduled and unannounced site visits, auditing reconditioning work and documentation practices.
Receive and evaluate damage claims, conducting in-person vehicle inspections to validate findings and determine outcomes.
Assist operations leadership by documenting site visit results and delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
