Job Description: General Statement of Duties: This particular job posting is an "Open Pool" position. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. Provides administrative and technical support to the Automotive Tech program faculty staff, students, and clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential
  • Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Strong customer service skills and understanding of how to handle sensitive, confidential, or restricted information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an automotive setting and comfortability relating vehicle repairs to customers
  • Familiarity with Canva
  • Willingness to take direction, learn new skills, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently on tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting visitors, vendors, and maintenance/facility people that come to the academic site located at 42 Linus Allain in Gardner, MA
  • Scheduling live work, coordinating ordering parts with customers, contacting customers when their vehicles are ready for pickup, and identifying a pick-up plan.
  • Coordinating with Program Administrator for campus operations that include Student Resource Room, Marty's Market, student programming, and specialty events
  • Providing general support for students, instructors, and the Program Administrator
  • Special divisional projects as assigned and supervised by the Dean of Business, Science, Technology and Mathematics
  • Other duties as assigned.
