About The Position

CarData is hiring a Field Service Representative to photograph and merchandise vehicles at dealerships in Orange County, California. This is not a creative photography role: photographers follow a structured, repeatable process with specific photo angles, sequence, framing, zoom levels, and quality standards. The work prioritizes consistency, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. Professional photography experience is not required; the company provides training.

The current route visits dealerships in Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa Monday through Friday, with three dealer visits per day. The posting states that the route involves 15 miles driven per week between stops if all dealers are visited as scheduled; an FAQ separately refers to 148 miles between stops on this route. Employees start no later than 9 a.m. at the first location, and the end time varies with the daily workload. Core duties include taking vehicle photos and videos and applying window labels. Pay is commission-based per vehicle processed, with an advertised annual earnings range of $54,000–$60,000. Gas is reimbursed. Eligible team members receive company-sponsored health insurance after 60 days, with CarData covering 50% of the premium, and may participate in a company-matched 401(k) after six months of service.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, including responding to text messages promptly.

• Reliable vehicle for travel to dealership clients.
• Clean driving record; only clean driving records will be considered.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes, produce consistent results, pay attention to detail, work efficiently and independently, and accept and apply coaching and feedback.

• Photography experience in any genre is welcome, but professional photography experience is not required.
