About The Position

Auto-Wares Group of Companies is hiring a full-time Counterperson for its Bumper to Bumper team in New London, Wisconsin. The role serves customers by identifying their automotive parts needs, sharing accurate product and service knowledge, and completing sales through phone and in-person interactions. The Counterperson also supports store operations by helping maintain an organized store, processing returns, and assisting newer personnel. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays on rotation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the automotive field.
• Customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No major violations.
• No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years if over 25 years of age, or in the past 5 years if under 25 years of age.
• No more than one at-fault accident.
• Must be able to meet the position’s physical requirements, including completing a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with both arms.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive experiences with every customer interaction.
• Conduct customer-focused activities while providing efficient and accurate expertise.
• Finalize sales through phone calls, in-person communication, and other methods.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the parts and services offered.
• Support customer needs by presenting product options and exemplifying the company’s “Never Say No” values.
• Help maintain a clean and organized store appearance.
• Contribute to daily store operations by processing returns and assisting newer store personnel.
