About The Position

Summit Racing Equipment is hiring an Automotive Parts Returns Processor to support its returns processing workflow. The role involves hands-on technical evaluation of returned automotive merchandise, verifying products, quantities, and product and packaging condition, and determining how returned products should be handled. The processor sorts returns and arranges warranty refunds or stages products for resale. Clear communication about the disposition of returned items helps maintain inventory accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The starting rate is up to $19.85, based on qualifications. The position requires continuous standing, bending, and squatting, as well as frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One or more years of experience in an automotive parts capacity, such as a parts department or mechanic role.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English, and basic math comprehension.
• Ability to use technology, including scanners and computers.
• Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet required performance standards.
• Ability to stand, bend, and squat continuously and frequently lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Technically evaluate returned merchandise; automotive expertise is required.
• Verify products, quantities, and product and packaging condition for customer returns.
• Use established procedures to determine the disposition of products.
• Sort returned products and arrange warranty refunds or stage products for resale.
• Communicate the disposition of returned items to support inventory accuracy, efficiency, error reduction, and customer service.
