About The Position

Avis Budget Group is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Parts Person / Parts Clerk to join their team. This full-time role supports a fast-paced shop environment by managing inventory and coordinating the sourcing, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts, tires, tools, and shop supplies for a diverse fleet of newer vehicles across multiple brands. The position is crucial for ensuring vehicles are properly serviced and on the road, directly impacting vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction. The role involves processing purchase orders, repair orders, and invoices, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring efficient parts operations to minimize vehicle downtime.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and basic shop operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Nice To Haves

• 6 months automotive parts, dealership, fleet, or technical school experience is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and coordinate the sourcing, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts, tires, tools, and shop supplies needed to support vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure the right parts are available at the right time for a diverse fleet of newer vehicles across multiple makes and models.
• Process purchase orders, repair orders, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Help ensure parts operations run efficiently.
• Support timely and accurate repairs to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure vehicles are ready and reliable for customers.
