About The Position

Tooele Motor Company is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department in Tooele, UT. This is a great opportunity for an automotive parts professional who knows how to manage inventory, support a busy service department, develop a strong team, and drive department performance. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who understands dealership parts operations and takes pride in keeping technicians and customers supplied with the right parts at the right time.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive dealership parts experience required
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and dealership operations
  • Experience with OEM parts and manufacturer processes
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills
  • Ability to analyze inventory, sales, and department performance
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Parts management or leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dealership Parts Department
  • Manage parts inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing obsolete and excess inventory
  • Ensure technicians have the correct parts needed to complete repairs efficiently
  • Manage retail, internal, and wholesale parts operations
  • Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, and overall performance
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers
  • Review inventory reports and identify opportunities to improve turns, fill rates, and profitability
  • Ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and parts documentation
  • Handle special orders, returns, warranty parts, and manufacturer requirements
  • Hire, train, coach, schedule, and support Parts Department employees
  • Work closely with Service, Sales, and dealership leadership
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused parts operation
  • Ensure department processes meet dealership and manufacturer standards
