About The Position

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer focused Full Time Parts Employee to support the daily operations of our Parts Department. This role is responsible for assisting technicians, retail customers, and internal staff by identifying, sourcing, and distributing the correct parts in a timely and efficient manner. The Parts Counter person plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring smooth workflow in the service department, and delivering a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Strong communication skills, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to navigate parts catalogs and inventory systems are essential. This position offers opportunities for growth within the Parts Department and broader dealership operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with vehicle models, parts, and their applications
  • Ability to navigate parts catalogs and inventory systems
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting technicians, retail customers, and internal staff by identifying, sourcing, and distributing the correct parts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Ensuring smooth workflow in the service department.
  • Delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Cross Train with multiple Parts positions such as driver, shipping and receiving, counterperson and inventory management.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Effectively sell parts and build customer relationships.
  • Calculate prices, discounts, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist in setting purchasing budgets and managing expenses related to vehicle acquisition.
  • Keep abreast of current market trends and valuations of used vehicles.
  • Analyze vehicle profitability and make sound purchasing decisions.
