Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson Rydell Chevrolet – Waterloo, IA Full-Time | Non-Exempt | Base Pay + Commission Join the Rydell Team Rydell Chevrolet is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson to join our growing Parts Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced automotive environment. As a Parts Counter Salesperson, you'll play a key role in supporting our retail, wholesale, and service customers by providing expert parts recommendations and ensuring they receive the right parts quickly and accurately. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills; dealership software experience is a plus
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Background Check

  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist retail, wholesale, and internal service customers with automotive parts purchases
  • Identify, locate, and recommend parts based on customer needs
  • Process parts sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Create invoices, quotes, and special orders
  • Follow up with customers regarding parts availability and order status
  • Work closely with the Service Department to ensure timely parts fulfillment
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and pricing information
  • Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Support the Parts Department with additional duties as assigned
