About The Position

The Whole Store Runs Through Parts. We're Hiring Two People to Help Us Run It. Twin Falls Subaru is adding two people to our parts team. This role is fast-paced and critical to the dealership's operations, involving constant interaction with technicians, customers, and managing parts inventory. It offers the opportunity for a long career in the automotive business.

Requirements

  • Real attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm when multiple people need assistance simultaneously.
  • Availability for the Saturday rotation and the 9:00 to 6:00 shift once proficient.
  • Comfortable using a computer and willing to learn dealership catalogs and DMS.
  • Clear communication skills with technicians, advisors, and customers.
  • Ability to lift and move parts up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Reliable attendance and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a parts counter person at a dealership, national parts house, or independent shop.
  • Experience in retail auto parts.
  • Experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, or inventory management.
  • Experience as a technician.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Genuinely good with people.
  • Organized and quick on a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Helping walk-in and phone customers find the right part, including those who can only describe it with their hands.
  • Looking up parts in the Subaru catalog and the dealership's system accurately.
  • Pulling and staging parts for technicians to ensure shop operations continue smoothly.
  • Placing special orders, tracking them, and managing the special order parts process.
  • Receiving stock, verifying it against orders, and organizing it in the correct locations.
  • Maintaining organization of shelves, bins, and the back counter.
  • Handling returns, cores, and credits efficiently.
  • Assisting with inventory counts and providing input on stocking levels and tracking lost sales.
  • Collaborating with service advisors and technicians.
