Jim Pattison Toyota Victoria is seeking a customer focused Parts Consultant to join our Fixed Operations Department. As a Parts Consultant you will be responsible for assisting retail, wholesale, and internal customers with their parts needs while delivering exceptional service and supporting dealership operations.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive parts experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Toyota products and systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to lift and move automotive parts as required.
  • Valid BC Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the parts department and dealership
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of automotive parts and supplies (up to 50 lbs)
  • Reaching, bending, and shelving inventory items
  • Extended periods working at a computer and parts counter
  • Occasional use of equipment such as parts carts or pallet jacks
  • Working in a fast-paced automotive environment with occasional exposure to garage and warehouse conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying and sourcing the correct parts and accessories.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and product information to customers.
  • Process parts orders accurately and efficiently, both in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Prepare and process warranty and return claims in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Support wholesale parts sales and develop strong relationships with external customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
  • Collaborate with service and sales departments to ensure timely fulfillment of parts requests.
  • Stay current on Toyota parts, accessories, and dealership promotions.
