Orders all types of parts, tires, lubricants etc. Essential duties include ordering parts, supplies, tires, lubricants, and other items as needed. This role involves opening purchase orders, listing parts on POs, and adding parts to shop ROs. The associate will manage all returns and credits, and place internet and other parts orders. They will notify management of any difficulties or problems that may affect part supply or promised times, and effectively communicate via email and phone. The position requires maintaining parts rooms, tire storage areas, and workstations in a neat and organized manner. The associate must maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment (PPE) and be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. The work environment is an automotive shop which may include higher noise levels and proximity to running and moving vehicles. Compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to parts, lubricants, and hazardous materials is essential, with deviations to be reported to management. Cooperation and assistance with other personnel in the ordering process and other assigned duties are expected. The associate must understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts and shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know. Operation of all computers and printers in a safe and professional manner is required, along with the ability to learn additional ordering platforms.
