About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring an Automotive Painter for its Service Center Mobile - Springhill Ave location. The role performs paint-related duties in a collision center, including preparing color tint to match vehicle paint, mixing paint colors, and ensuring formulations, preparation, top coating, curing, application sequence, timing, and materials use follow original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards. Before returning a vehicle to the body technician, the painter ensures paint operations are complete, masking is removed, and paint-related disassembly has been reassembled.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing.

Responsibilities

Prepare color tint to match paint color.
Mix paint colors and ensure formulations, preparation, top coating, and curing comply with OEM-recommended standards for application sequence, timing, and materials use.
Complete paint operations, remove all masking, and reassemble paint-related disassembly before returning the vehicle to the body technician.
