About The Position
Reading Truck is seeking an Automotive Painter to join their team. The Painter will work collaboratively to complete the painting of specialty truck equipment in a high-volume, quality-focused shop that fabricates commercial and fleet vehicles. Requirements
- Experience required from tech school, industry or personal hobby
- Must be willing and able to wear all require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces as needed by sanding and grinding
- Mix, thin, and adjust spray equipment for proper atomization
- Mix paints and primers to exact specifications ordered by the customer
- Apply coatings per recommended thickness
- Perform quality inspection process for units and parts scheduled to be painted
- Perform quality inspection on painted units
- Operate paint spraying equipment including pot guns, compressors etc.
- Ensure craftsmanship meets Company quality standards
- Follow all Company safety rules and policies
- Maintain records on paint
- Complete a full and half face fit test- pre-employment
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
