About The Position

Classic Collision is hiring an Autobody Paint Prepper to prepare vehicles for refinishing and reassembly and support Paint Technicians. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong organizational skills.
Successful completion of a background check required.
Ability to meet the physical and vision demands described for the role, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

I-CAR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare assigned vehicles for refinishing and reassembly and support Paint Technicians with paint jobs as needed.
Complete vehicle paint preparation processes according to factory specifications, written repair orders, and the direction of a mentoring Paint Technician.
Prepare spray-out panels to help determine blend needs, and assist with sanding and buffing to meet paint-finish quality standards.
Follow requirements for hazardous waste disposal.
Follow vendor procedures for tools and equipment, including maintaining the paint booth and booth filters, and keep the workspace clean and organized.
Use air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, and other tools to complete quality work.
Confirm paint operations are complete, masking is removed, and paint-related disassembly has been reassembled before returning the vehicle to the body technician.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
