About The Position

Jeff Wyler Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join their team. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting by performing tasks such as sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. The Paint Prepper will also be responsible for cleaning and degreasing panels, identifying imperfections, and ensuring surfaces are properly prepped for a high-quality finish. Collaboration with paint technicians is key, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area is essential.

Requirements

• Previous automotive prep or body shop experience preferred (sanding, masking, priming, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on surface preparation and quality
• Basic knowledge of body shop tools, materials, and safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to follow directions
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
• Clean and degrease panels prior to paint application
• Identify imperfections and ensure surfaces are properly prepped
• Work closely with paint technicians to ensure high-quality finishes
