About The Position

Jeremy Hodge Auto Group is seeking an experienced and highly capable Office Manager / Accounting Operations Leader to support two dealership locations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, the ability to identify and resolve issues, maintain confidentiality, and take ownership of processes. The ideal candidate will focus on building robust processes and enhancing the skills of team members. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. The company's operating philosophy is to limit liability and maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • Previous dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
  • Experience with deal processing.
  • Experience with vehicle inventory accounting.
  • Experience with factory receivables.
  • Experience with parts and service accounting.
  • Experience with warranty accounting.
  • Experience with floorplan reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting and administrative operations for two dealership locations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform general ledger accounting.
  • Conduct bank and account reconciliations.
  • Review and reconcile schedules.
  • Process dealership transactions and deals.
  • Handle month-end accounting procedures.
  • Provide payroll and personnel-document support.
  • Implement and manage cash controls.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure proper record retention.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance.
  • Generate financial and operational reports.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop written procedures and checklists.
  • Train and cross-train office personnel.
  • Establish consistent processes across multiple locations.
  • Identify and fix process-related mistakes.
  • Document important procedures.
  • Build structure, accountability, and follow-through in the office.
  • Develop clear processes, written procedures, checklists, internal controls, cross-training, accountability, and verification.
