Automotive Mobile Glass Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Caliber Auto Glass is hiring a Mobile Auto Glass Technician Apprentice to learn and perform automotive glass service duties under mentorship. The role includes replacing automotive glass according to quality standards, repairing damaged glass, and completing pre- and post-service inspections with customers. Technicians may use tools and scanning equipment, document repair orders on a mobile device, remove and install trim panels and interior parts without causing damage, and prioritize daily assignments. The position provides hands-on experience in a production shop and opportunities for career growth.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
- Pass pre-employment screenings, including background and motor vehicle record checks.
- Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
- Understand written and verbal instructions.
- Prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Previous collision experience.
- Collision vocational-technical certification.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform automotive glass replacement in accordance with quality standards.
- Perform repairs on damaged automotive glass.
- Complete pre- and post-service inspections with customers.
- Use tools and scanning equipment as needed.
- Complete repair-order documentation on a mobile device.
- Remove and install trim panels and interior parts without damaging them.
- Prioritize and manage time to complete assigned daily tasks.
