Automotive Mechanical Services Technician

About The Position

The Mechanical Service Technician performs brake, tune-up, diagnostic, and repair services, along with additional services as directed by the Shop Manager or Assistant Shop Manager. The role focuses on delivering quality automotive repairs, building trusting customer relationships, and explaining company programs, services, and pricing. The technician also helps maintain shop supplies, equipment, safety, and the general cleanliness of the center. Training and certification opportunities are available.

Requirements

Advanced automotive experience.

Clean and neat appearance.
Valid state driver's license.

Nice To Haves

A.S.E. Certification in Engine Performance, Engine Repair, and Brakes.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality mechanical repair services in accordance with industry-approved standards.
Develop trusting customer relationships through honest and competent service.
Maintain shop supply inventory and notify the Shop Manager when reorders are needed.
Explain SpeeDee programs, services, and pricing to support customer satisfaction and revenue.
Attend training sessions relevant to the career path and position requirements.
Ensure equipment functions properly and perform preventive equipment maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and notify the Shop Manager of safety hazards or equipment repairs needed.
Perform general center maintenance and cleaning, including mopping, washing center windows, and clearing litter.
Attend crew meetings as required and perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
