Protech Automotive Solutions and its affiliated brands are seeking a dedicated, quality-focused Automotive Installation Technician to install and support fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets. This hands-on role is suited to candidates with automotive, mechanical, electrical, fleet, or installation experience who are interested in learning new technology. Automotive repair and mechanic skills can transfer directly to fleet technology work; prior experience with every telematics system is not required. The technician installs and troubleshoots GPS, ELDs, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment; performs basic 12V/24V wiring; routes wiring; tests equipment and connectivity; diagnoses electrical and installation problems; and documents completed work. The role requires a focus on safety, quality, and first-time-right installations. It also involves mobile work at customer and fleet locations, with occasional travel outside the assigned market, and occasional weekend or adjusted schedules to support projects and business needs. Protech offers pay of up to $32 per hour, paid weekly, and overtime eligibility. Benefits begin on day one. The company provides training, certifications, career development, uniforms, steel-toe footwear, tools, and equipment, and promotes from within. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictions; Protech uses E-Verify to confirm new hires’ identity and employment eligibility.
